Welcome to the Silas Experience...

The Silas Experience is based on a young leader with a servant's heart in the day and age where Jews and Gentiles disagreed on who in and who was out.. Silas was a strong leader in the Jerusalem Church and his service for Christ was never overlooked. He ws sent to prison with Paul, he sang songs of joy in the midst of struggles, and he served Paul and Peter in their missionary journeys. Most of all, he carried the note to the Gentiles welcoming them to Christianity.

How does this relate to our generation? We as Christians have this club: the Church! It is a great club! sometimes we make up guidelines and expectations for this club, though. We need a "Silas Heart", a heart that is filled with joy through our troubles, and most of all a heart for leadership and service. As students, we feel that anyone can join this thing called the Church. No matter what hairstyle, piercings, or tattoos. We want everyone to carry the heart of Silas to deliver the message to our unchurched generation, so that one day the community of Christ - through us - will open the flood gates and let the people in.
